Low Cost Water Leak detection for building management  systems (BMS)

Water Leak Detection

Housing size 110mm x 60mm x 30mm deep, Surface mounted, cable entry/exit via glands. we manufacture for input voltages of 5, 12 and 24VDC. Sensing voltage 5Volt bi-directional DC. Bi-directional DC in the sensors is used to stop electrolyses and polarization, Zone sensitivity adjustment is provided to allow the unit to be set at high or low sensitivity. The water leak detection alarm output consists of an open collector which can be used to sink a BMS signal or energize a relay.

Water Leak Sensors

Our optical water leak sensors have been designed to interface with new or existing building alarms or Building Management Systems (BMS). It will detect Water, Fuel Oil and Chemicals by  sensing a loss of light within itself due to refraction when a liquid comes into contact with the sensing bulb.

This sensor gives a relay volt free contact output when a leak had been detected which can be used with any alarm system.

Input power to the unit 230VAC but any AC voltage can be catered for, Sensing voltage 5Volt bi-directional DC. Large indication LED lamps for ease of Alarm identification from a distance On board audible warning device to alert local operators of a problem. Common alarm relay to onward signal or used to shutdown water valves Lamps relay and Horn test Facility to ensure that the unit is working correctly. Small foot print, wall or surface mounted. Monitoring of each zone cable and sensor to ensure continuity and integrity. A Bi-directional DC signal in the sensors to stop electrolyses and polarization. Water Leak Detectors

Two Different types of water leak detectors  are available for different applications. The most common being the water leak detection cable which detects along its entire length. Spot probes are mainly used in trip trays or in plant rooms/kitchens were a cable could become damaged.
